Dr. DiNubile is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in
Sports Medicine in private practice in Havertown, Pennsylvania
and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of the Department of
Orthopaedic Surgery at the Hospital of the University of
Pennsylvania. Dr. DiNubile has been chosen in “Best Doctors
in America” as well as “Guide to America’s Top Surgeons.” He is
the author of the bestselling book, FrameWork- Your 7 Step
Program for Healthy Muscles, Bones & Joints (Rodale) and is
Executive Producer and host of the award winning national PBS
television special, Your Body’s FrameWork.
Dr. DiNubile served as special advisor and medical consultant to
The President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports during
the 1st Bush Administration, with Arnold Schwarzenegger as Chairman.
Over several terms, he has advised two US Presidents in areas of
fitness, exercise and healthcare reform. Additionally he is the
Chief Medical Officer of The American Council on Exercise
(ACE), and has served on their Board of Directors. He developed
the first of it's kind advanced certification continuing education
program (Your Client's FrameWork) for personal trainers and
fitness professionals that teaches sensible exercise routines and
modifications especially for individuals with musculoskeletal
ailments.
In 2009 Dr.
DiNubile was inducted in The National Fitness Hall of Fame
along with the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Joe Weider, Jim
Lorimer, Jack LaLanne, Gilad Janklowicz, Dr. Bob Goldman, and Dr.
Kenneth Cooper. In 1993, he was the recipient of the prestigious
Healthy American Fitness Leaders (HAFL) award given to
individuals who have, through their work, improved the health of our
nation.
He served as Orthopaedic Consultant to the Philadelphia 76ers NBA
Basketball Team for 12 years. He currently, and for over 25
years, has been the lead physician for the Pennsylvania Ballet,
one of the top 10 ballet companies in the nation. He is a former
advisor to Yahoo! Health and hosted “The Training Room” Blog.
He has been featured on Good Morning America, The Today Show, CNN,
HBO Real Sports (award winning segment), National Public Radio, and
in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post,

Dr. DiNubile graduated the acclaimed Central High School (class of
228) in Philadelphia and then received his pre-medical biology BS
(pre-medical/biology) degree with honors from Saint Joseph’s
University where he was President of the student body. He received
his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine and
completed his internship in surgery and his orthopaedic residency at
The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he also did
basic science and clinical research in the preservation and storage
of articular cartilage.
Dr. DiNubile is a spokesperson for
the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the
American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM). Dr.
DiNubile’s work has been recognized by several organizations
including the AAOS and AOSSM, for which he is the national
representative to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’
“Healthy People 2000 & 2010” projects. For the American
Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. DiNubile was Chairman for the
international initiative that was responsible for all external
communications, including media relations and public education for
the largest musculoskeletal organization in the world.
Dr. DiNubile is a founder/member of
Premier Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Associates and is Chairman of
Orthopaedic Surgery at Delaware County Memorial Hospital in Drexel
Hill, Pennsylvania, a position he has held for over 15 years. He has
been chosen by Philadelphia Magazine on numerous occasions as one of
Philadelphia’s “Top Docs.”
Dr. DiNubile is the
Editor-In-Chief of The Physician and Sportsmedicine and has also
